Ubuntu Linux
Almost every time after booting up my laptop installed with Ubuntu 11.04, a message window appeared saying there's a problem loading gnome desktop applet.
I don't see anything failing to load. I've selected "Don't delete" and rebooted my system, and it seems fine.
Each time it's a different applet that shows this error.
I have included one of the errors in the following screenshot. Any suggestions?
Error
The panel encountered a problem while loading
"OAFIID:GNOME_NotificationAreaApplet".

I want to use Windows 7 & Ubuntu with the help of Dual boot, on the same computer. My computer specifications are c2d 2.8 GHz, with 2 GB ddr2 ram & 500 GB hard disk. I also have a 250 MB graphics card in it.
I was previously using windows 7 on my computer. Now I've installed Ubuntu & I'm trying to Dual Boot it using Easy BCD.
But when I try to "Add New Entry", Ubuntu is not available in the list.
Please tell me, how can I dual boot windows 7 & Ubuntu successfully.
Do I have to add a Manual Entry for it, how this can be done?

Hey,
There I am a new Linux UBUNTU user. I am trying to get a download manager. I saw a list of best download managers for Linux. They told me Kget would be the best and then also suggest to try out new 'Axcel'.
I try to get both of them from my software Centre.
It appears on the list but it's not working.
I mean the link from the list isn't working. I tried a hundred times but can't fix it. Is there any way to download it?
Actually i need a download manager like IDM. Which will protect my downloaded data even it stop at the midway for any reason.

Hi, I operated Ubuntu last night. I saw a list of game which are supported of Linux.
I see the action fantasy game 'Serious Sam 2'. I setup the game and now that game is saying unsupported version.
I go to site and forums but they all appreciated the game as a Linux supported game. Is anything missing on the game.
It's launch window appear for some seconds and then show me the command 'Unsupported Version'.
Other friends of mine are using the same OS and playing it without any problem. Is there any solution?
It's the starting View of the Game.
It disappears after a while.

I am using Redhat Linux in my one Laptop and in another laptop I am using Ubuntu.
Both have dual boot. In Redhat I can easily configure the Grub Boot Loader option for boot priority. But In Ubuntu, I couldn’t do this. I have found huge difference in redhat linux and ubuntu. I need to configure the Grub boot loader option in Ubuntu.
How can I do this???
