Users would like to verify whether or not having a problem with the Domain Name System (DNS) server is the main reason why they are having a hard time connecting to Internet hosts.
Could anyone here suggest some troubleshooting steps on how to determine if the DNS server is resolving Internet host names? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to make my Linux boot up faster. It is already fast, but I heard from my technician friends that there is something I can do to even make it more faster to boot. There is this program that is installed and I want to know more and how to successfully install the program. It is also installed in Ubuntu. Are they installed the same way in Linux?

Here is my operating system specification, Ubuntu 8.04, Wine 1.0rc3 .
I installed the SketchUp on my machine and then tried initializing it and it throws an error message.
SketchUp was unable to initialize OpenGL! Please make sure you have installed the correct drivers for your graphics card. Error Choose Pixel Format failed.
Whenever I reboot my machine, this error is something which I see as soon as the PC comes up. Then I tried to install EnvyNG and then got rid of the error message while start up.

I had installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my IBM Thinkcentre A51 having a physical memory of 256 MB.
It Ran Slow hence, I wished to uninstall it.
I did not find such an option however.
I later formatted the partition on which Ubuntu was installed, but i guess the default boot loader file also got deleted.
How do I make Windows XP as the default OS, Now that the PC wont boot.
