Video Cards
I have a Nvidia Geforce 8600GT 512mb graphics card, and yet I am not able to play Sims 3.
Whenever I start the game, it says "no video card detected" error message.

I just can't understand this at all.

I installed OFP few days ago.
When I was playing the game exits to desktop giving error;"Cannot create 3D device. ADAPTER 0.
Error D3DRR_NOT AVAILABLE".
Any ideas what it is?
I know I can just restart but maybe this is a message telling me the problem why my PC keeps restarting and games exiting.

I am trying to upgrade my graphics card ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro, but it always fails.
I noticed that none of the updates work for my graphics card and I have no idea why.
I am definitely clueless here. I have attached something below however I am not sure if this is related to the problem that I am facing:
Could not load file or assembly 'MOM.Implementation,
Version=2.0.3223.36953, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e' or one of its dependencies.
The system cannot find the file specified.

I have just bought a Supreme Commander game. But when I try to run the game an error is generated, telling me that I do not meet the minimum requirements in order to play the game. However, when I checked my specifications, I fit all of the requirements. I don’t know why the game isn’t working. I also tried to reinstall the game, but it still doesn’t work.
I Have read on the internet that sometimes updating the graphics chip might make it work. I tried installing the latest driver version for my graphics chip on the Intel website and tried to download it. However, when It finished downloading, an error message tells me that it is not appropriate for my current system.
Could somebody help me?

Hello !
I have been using my computer, playing some random game when a noisy sound came out from it. It scared me a little bit as it was really, really noisy, but the computer seemed to be all fine and running.
After a while, I have restarted my computer and not long after some strange colors filled my monitor's desktop. It was as if there was a scrambled program on TV. It then came back to normal and soon after my pc froze.

Lately, when I find myself playing a more demanding game, my screen freezes while the sound still works perfectly. After a few seconds my screen flashes and everything gets back to normal on screen. I have taken a look at the notification that prompts me when this happens. I get this error message: “Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered”. I have surfed the internet and understood that it might be because of a motherboard circuit that heats up. However, I am not sure. My video card is Nvidia Geforce 8600 with the latest drivers installed, OS Windows 7 x64.

I just newly bought from the computer shop an AGP video card and installed it on my computer.
Then turn on my computer and appeared on the monitor screen a garbage display.
I turned off my computer and detached the video card, then connect the monitor to the built in video card and turned on my computer.
And it was okay the display was good and running.
What’s causing garbage display, the video card is new?

I have a problem with my intel GMA 950. Whenever I try to run a certain application with higher requirements (especially games) this error pops up.
It prompts me that the hardware is not 3d compatible and that it lacks TNL or vertex shader.
I have found out about 3D analyzer but unfortunately it drastically reduces fps to the point of unplayability. Is there any other workaround except for using 3DA that will not affect my experience ?
TrueCrime: Streets of L.A. – Fatal Error
No capable 3D hardware found on your system. This game requires Direct3D compatible hardware that supports either T&L or Vertex and Pixel shaders version 1.1 or higher.
