I installed an anti-virus a week ago and it works properly then I installed my favorite anti-virus last 2 days ago. My computer was infected by viruses and was healed but my problem is many of my documents were missing. I don't know if these files were automatically deleted or hide.

My question is regarding Computer Viruses. I often heard about the term but what exactly does it mean? Sometimes I don't even know if I already have a virus on my computer because there are too many types of it that we cannot even identify which one is attacking your computer and which is not. What are the most common types of Computer Virus? And how can we get rid of it? Any help will be appreciated.

We used Operating System in order to use a computer. How about that Antivirus that we normally use? Is there a program or software that can check the capabilities and the performance of an antivirus?

Antivirus are sometimes free but has limited features. Most of it, require us to buy in order to avail its maximum performance. So how can we know if the one's we are buying is worth our money? How can we know if it is really capable of killing or can quarantine a virus? Do you have suggestions? Please send me some.

i have installed AVG Anti-virus Free Edition and it worked correctly. Now i uninstalled it, because i buy a new version of AVG.

I want to install my new version of anti-virus but it doesn't work! i have an error message : "another version of this product is already installed…"

From few days, I am facing a lot of problems due to serious virus attack in my desktop.My desktop is making me crazy. It just keeps restarting over and over again. For this reason, I am unable to run any program or application.

Its just the waste of time.

Hi everyone, I’m using Norton Antivirus 2011 on my Windows Vista OS and until now I have had no problems. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve last made a full scan so I tried to do it now, but it failed. The message that popped-out was this:

What could be causing this problem?

My problem is quite simple but it’s wasting my time so I would really appreciate suggestions for a solution. I’m trying to uninstall the Sophos Anti-Virus software and I just keep getting this error message:

”Sophos Anti-Virus

Error 3003. You must uninstall the Sophos Client Firewall before uninstalling Sophos Anti-Virus.”

I’m using Windows XP and I tried using control panel/remove programs to delete it but still no use.

I’m having trouble upgrading Norton 2012 Smart Virus Def. PreRelease. I’m using Windows 7 Professional and I have a fast network connection so I guess that couldn’t be the problem. Everything seems to be working properly until I try to upgrade and get this message:
