What do I have to put in place to ensure that my website is protected from external attacks by hackers, viruses, worms or Trojan horses? Which security features are very necessary for maximum protection from attacks? Can I design my own system or it is wise to leave it to the expert to take care of it?

 

I am running NOD32 AV 8.0.301.0. If I run Depth Scan not as an Administrator, I get a list of files in the log with an error opening message. However if I run the same scan as Administrator, then nothing shows up in the scan log. When using version 7 of NOD32, I used to get these entries in the scan log even when running it as Administrator. Is this a bug in version 8 or was version 7 incorrect?

I'm using Eset Nod 32 antivirus, Windows 8.1 64 bit. Today I found w32.Sality virus from an USB drive, it looked like the virus affected the MBR (Master boot record). I tried all the antivirus softwares and they detected the virus, but they are can't clean it. I must repair the drive MBR by myself. Is there a good Antivirus program that can prevent/clean the MBR virus from Windows? Is there any GUI tool for repairing MBR for USB?

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and I installed Norton Antivirus for Security Purposes. I got to know there is Windows Defender in the System. When I tried to remove it from Program and Features from Control Panel the Program was not listed there. I want to know if there is any way of removing the Windows Defender from my PC?

I am using Microsoft Security essential as a antivirus tool for my dextop pc.The problem is that it does not catch any virus but when we scan any drive  file or a folder.If it contains any virus,spam or malware it detects and clean it.Anyone knows why MSE does not catches virus automatically ?

Sometimes when I chat with strangers on Omegle, they share some links of their pics or some files. Most of the time I talk about studies. Still in some cases, I came across some malicious users. Before opening their link, I want to know if it is a spam. Is there any tool which can help me to check a URL's validity without opening it? Also, can someone harm my computer, if open the links they have sent on Omegle?

I use Avast antivirus for my windows 8.1 and this PC is new just a week old. I got an adware in my PC while downloading a software from unknown source. So what I did is removed that adware and scanned m PC completely to check if any virus is there Avast showed nil results. To double check I uninstalled Avast and the installed Baidu anti virus and it showed that my PC is still infected and when I clicked to remove the threat it won't do anything. So please tell me which anti virus I should trust now and use it

I have installed Windows 7 just few days back and Microsoft security essentials also with it. But what I noticed off lately just today is Microsoft security Essentials is not running any scans or giving any notifications. So I checked it is off and I'm unable to on it. Please tell me how to turn it on.
