A friend sent me a CD that contains JPEG files.  Since viewing the CD, my PC has become slow and a balloon always pops out and keeps saying that I need certain programs.  I'm thinking it's the Bootstrap boot sector virus.  Is there a good Bootstrap virus removal tool?  I'm on Windows XP.

As nod32 is a good antivirus program and I have installed the latest version of it. But now it is creating problems. I am facing nod32 error on install drivers and it terminates the installation by showing message that drivers contain malicious data. I have tried different drivers set up and scan them also on my friend PC but no result. Nod32 is also tracking .Exe file setup and consider them as viruses. Some solution please.

Norton Antivirus was known for its malware protection, hunting and identifying viruses including e – mail spam filtering and phishing protection. Speaking of e – mails, I want to secure my computer from bad viruses from other people that would be sending me viruses, intentional or accidental. So guys, does any one of you know Norton Live scan free? Any help would be nice.

Now I was thinking if I could possibly trust the Google docs uploader?

I'm afraid that the documents would become corrupted or of some sort.

I have been using Norton anti virus software for quite sometime now, and have recently upgraded to their most recent version. But the thing is, the Norton antivirus is not that much effective any more as it was around a decade ago.

I am open to any other solution, be it Norton's higher caliber security suite or do you recommend jumping ship to another anti virus software, and if so which one?

Hi.  I have a security enabled flash disk for saving some of my files.  The problem is, I can't remember my password and I can't access it anymore and gives a message "disk is write protected".  Can I flash disk unblock with McAfee?  Does McAfee have this option?  I have a 64 GB SanDisk ULTRA USB Flash Drive.
