Hi!

Yesterday I was installing Win ESET (Third Party Security Product), and in the process of installation I got an error message, the error number was ‘Error: 2878’, and the Product Version is 5.X. The wording of that error message is:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2878.

I am attaching the error screen shot with this request; please help me out of this problem. I will be very thankful to you.

Just a clarification, I am having problems with McHost.exe, and with NOT McSvHost.exe.

The errors started on January 5, 2012 after an update to McAfee's Antivirus Plus was performed.  Of course, the update necessitates a system restart.

After restarting, McHost.exe started showing me application errors whenever I boot my computer, also whenever the Antivirus Plus summons it.

I made use of Task Manager to end the process tree for McAgent.exe, afterwards I started over the program using the shortcut for McAfee AntiVirus Plus which can be found in Start  > Programs > McAfee. 

After it restarts, it shows me an error for McHost.exe once more. 

I need help.

Is that the best Security software for wireless networks, If there is any other software that has better a performance than that of McAfee Wireless Home Network Security.

I recently installed a software I downloaded on the internet which added the adware snap desktop toolbar. My Avast antivirus detects this adware as malware msdc.exe. I could not delete it using Avast. How do I remove adware snap desktop toolbar permanently?

I use Windows Vista 64 bit.

It really works on deleting viruses, so I want to buy it. However, I could not afford a higher price than $50. The one I owned is worth $60 for the full version. Do you know where I can buy Norton antivirus in a cheaper price?

I have installed a xp antivirus 2012 and activated by a code. Someone says activate code do xp antivirus 2012 harmful for the computer. It is a suspicious program and fake. It may damage my PC. What do you think? Please help me.
