Hi!

A developer preview of the new version of Windows Operating System has been released by Microsoft, Windows 2008.

One can download the developers preview on this page and use it on your machine or a Virtual Box. The size of the ISO file is 3.5GB for 64 bits version of Windows 8. Just the other day I have installed in on a Virtual Box machine,

when I tried to install it, I got the blue screen of death. The BSOD is usually caused by the hardware or software problems during the installation of an application, in my case the Windows 8 developer’s preview. Now I wonder what the problem is, and I cannot install it.

Any idea guys?

When I attempted to run EICAR.COM, an error showed up, which is anticipated as EICAR is a DOS program and unable to run on Windows 8, but my question is I *should* get a virus warning, shouldn't I?

Hi I am using Windows server 2008 R2 OS with an Enterprise installed of MG 2011 with enabling of both IIS and PHP and has the problem with 12 step process of installing and configuring on windows PDF and this step is to add the virtual directory for the step that it works for this step.
But the problem is that I got an error message when I double clicked on the document of type default as cannot read the configuration file due to insufficient permissions.
I have even logged on to local admin of the server and I am even running IIS manager as an Administrator and also removed completely by rebooting the system and then installed a fresh copy but with the same error

Hi,

I have been running a lot of VM types on Windows 2008 R2 server itself with the help of Hyper-V role which I made installation since 2010 of November and also even I updated the server to Service Pack1 to keep the server updated. I didn’t install any antivirus and processor is on type Intel Core i7 with RAM of 6GB and I have tried to start it as 4 VMs for the 3rd VM I have got the following error as shown in the image and please help me to solve the problem as soon as possible.

Hi,

I'm running Windows 2008 as my server for an internet cafe. My problem is it runs checkdisk every time the computer restarts. I even allowed it to finish so the check disk won't appear again but it is stubborn and is starting to annoy me.

People would have to wait a few minutes before I can let them use the computer.

What can I do to solve this problem I'm having?                                    

I switched from MS SQL 2000 to 2008 and got an error message, “A trigger returned a result set and/or was running with SET NOCOUNT OFF while another outstanding result set was active.”

This is about Windows 2008/SQL 2008 Cluster. We have evicted a Node from our cluster using Failover Cluster Management. Nothing was removed from the Node but we want to add the Node back into the cluster. What do we need to do from a Windows/SQL point? What’s the process of adding the Node back into the cluster?

I'm thinking twice about upgrading my Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 since 2003 is still the dominant server Os in the market. Is it better to have the 2008 server or should I stick to 2003? Why?
