Windows 64-bit
I have located a lot of .dll files on my PC and they are vital part of the system. How can I open a .dll file? I want to see the contents of a .dll without which a application cannot work. For example, Banished requires VideoDX-11.dll in order to run. Can I modify the .dll file for any other applications?

I have installed Windows 8.1 on my system and I tried to install Foxit PDF Reader. When I run the setup, it allows me to go through a series of steps but when the installation starts, a dialog box appears, 'Do you want to exit the setup?' If I click on NO then the installation continues for a second or two and I again get the same error. How can I fix this?

I've installed Windows 8.1 on my system. My system meets all the specs of Windows 8.1 but the OS lags badly on my PC. It is the 64-bit version. Windows 7 ran fine on the PC but the latest one is lagging hard. Is it the configuration issue or it's the time for me to buy a new PC?

I have several clustered orphaned files that are in windows that I would like to collect together, the problem is that most of them are hidden and what more they are unrecognizable by the machine. Is there a disk utility software that can cluster these files together and delete the irrelevant files?

Windows 10 looks like a real gem as far as operating systems are concerned, but its new features leave with more questions than answers. First of all, will it be able to run on the older computers? What is the RAM and CPU speed requirements? How much information will Cortana give to windows about my computer usage? When and how will the windows holographic device relate to my computer?

My system time is one hour behind of real world time. I tried to change it on Windows 8.1 by changing settings of date and time but after reboot it changes to one hour behind again. After that I tried to change time zone so I can at least have correct time but system again changed it to one hour behind. Also I tried to change it in BIOS and that haven't worked too. What do I have to do?

Apart from changes in interface, I pretty much find windows 10 to be like windows 8. Anyway, I think maybe I have bypassed the complex upgrades made to underlying apps. Is there anyone who can clearly explain to me the major changes that Windows 10 has over windows 8? Which one of them would you recommend and why?

What are registries? I have recently installed CCleaner programme to cleanly wipe my recycle bin from time to time. There is an option in the program that helps detect registry entries and help me to delete them. I am always asked to back up the registries. Can anyone tell me why?

With the decision of Microsoft to ditch Internet explorer for the Spartan Browser, is there any information on the looks of the browser? If so, how does it look like? I also believe new functionalities must have been added and I would wish to know about any of the new features it might have.
