I'm using Windows 7. I've several Files & Folders, which I want to Protect from other users of my Computer. I want to make these files/folders totally inaccessible and invisible to anyone using my computer, until they are unlocked using a valid password.

Please tell me, is there such a function available in Windows 7, which Supports Locking of Files/Folders. I'll be grateful if you reply quickly.

I am using a Toshiba notebook with an operating system of “Windows 7 starter”.  I am facing an issue, that I am unable to change the background of desktop. Even right click on a picture is also not allowed. I want to change the wallpaper of my desktop, kindly tell me how doing this.

I am using Windows 7 for a long time but yesterday something strange happened with me.

When I switched on my PC, all folders on the desktop were hidden.

I have no access to folders, even when if I copy some new folder to the desktop it disappears and is not shown on the desktop but when I go to run and search for desktop, it opens as a folder in front of me and I have access to all files and folders. I hope to get a solution here.

I have a laptop Acer 5320. The original window of system was window vista. Now, i want to install new window on my system (window 7). But i am facing problem during installation that Window upgrade hangs forever at 62%.

I am tired with this problem.

Can you help me with my problem? Currently I have my 500 GB hard disk partitioned to Drive C where the OS resides and Drive D for file storage.

Is it possible to partition my Drive D again into Drive D and E with 50% capacity each. Will it affect my existing files or should I back-up it first to an external drive?
