Windows 7
Hi,
I have a pretty bad feeling about Windows 7. I can’t work with it. While logged in as an administrator, I try to register several *.ocx's in Windows 7 Pro and always get error code 0x8002801c. This is true, when using the Command Prompt method, using regsvr32. Now can anyone solve this problem? Please help me as soon as possible.

Hi,
I am trying to install Windows 7 onto my Vista Acer Aspire 5536 laptop, and this message comes up, 'Please reconfigure your boot. wim file to use flag 9 settings for the first image, and restart your installation. Error code 0x8030002F'.
There is no help anywhere else, to this problem except people saying boot laptop from CD/DVD. I have done this and the Windows 7 stuff does come up, but when it gets to installing it, a message comes up saying that I will have to take the disk out, restart my laptop and then let Windows load normally and then put the disk back in, but this does nothing. Someone help me please!

Hi,
I've been having some trouble with my computer lately. All my files are hidden, and I occasionally get a BSOD with an "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" message. Through lots of Internet searching, I figured it was either my RAM giving me issues, or my drivers had something wrong with them and should be reinstalled.
I ran an Antivirus scan, and moved on to the drivers.
Since I had recently installed Windows 7 on my PC (Long before this issued started, but still recent), I figured most of the drivers could be reinstalled or updated via Windows update. However, whenever I run Windows update, I get the following Error message: 80072EFE.

Hi,
I bought a 2nd gen Dell 14R laptop a month ago. I haven't used it yet, because I want to back it up before anything bad happens to it. So I am trying to back it up onto an iOmega 500GB external hard drive, using Windows backup.
However, when the information is backing up, it only gets to about 60%, before it stops and says that an error has caused the back up to fail.
The error code is 0x8078002A. I also tried to backup my sister’s new 2nd gen Dell 15R laptop using the same device and I received the same error code.
I do not know what else to do to make the back up successfully. I have been working on it for a month.

Hello everyone,
Something strange happened to my computer last day. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. I put some gadgets on it. The problem is that I cannot see them anymore. I don't know what exactly happened because it suddenly disappears.
I tried to put it back but still I cannot see it. When I put the calendar, I could see the X icon and option but no calendar and then the option won't work and nothing happens when I click it.
How can I get it back?or how could I make it work again?
Please do help me.

Hi everybody,
I am having a problem with my new VAIO laptop Y series with 130 GB Hard Drive, 2 GB RAM. It was accompanied with Windows 7 starter kit OS with limited features. The plan was to change from Windows 7 starter to Windows 7 Professional.
During the process of installation with Windows 7 professional, I change/edit the partition and formatted it. I notice that the default drive C is only 10 GB and not 130 GB and the Windows installation setup and display a message that it needs a driver for the SATA drive. To my surprise, I opted with the recovery but it was already corrupted. I started again from step 1 until it reached again in a windows display that I needs a SATA driver for my Hard disk.

I am running Windows 7 OS on a laptop, trying to install an Antivirus suite. Unfortunately it requires SP1 installed. So I have downloaded it, but it downloads and then gets to 48% configured to restart and then hangs up for some time and then restarts. Then it tries again with same results saying "Service Pack 1 was not installed".
What should I do? John.

Clicking on a Quick Launch icon in Windows Vista would always launch a new instance of that app, even if one instance was already running. But in Windows 7, clicking on an icon you have pinned to the taskbar doesn't do this.
Can I replicate the Vista functionality ?
