Windows 7
I am using Windows 7 on a Dell laptop and recently my DVD drive has been giving me problems. It gives an error code saying, “Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)”. I tried updating the drivers, from the Dell website but still the device won't work.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers hoping for some change but none did. Some solutions are there on the Internet but all are for older operating systems and none for Windows 7.
Please help me out since I am helpless because of no solution on the Internet.

I recently upgraded my Vista to Windows 7 and installed a new western digital hard drive. The guy at the shop transferred all my files into the new hard drive and also installed the new Windows. Everything was working fine there but when I reached home, my computer started hanging up after sometime. I checked the hard disk for any weird sounds but there were none. Can someone tell me; is there a problem with the Windows 7? Or is it a problem with my new hard disk? So I can change the damn thing and not risk losing my files.

Hello,
I have a question regarding Windows 7 remote access. Actually I bought a new 7800dc HP desktop, which comes with a Windows 7 update from Vista. Now before I had the Windows 7 installed on that PC I could connect to it from my laptop using remote desktop but now that I have installed Window 7.
I can’t do that. I tried searching for help in anyway to enable it but I can find an option there. Please I want to use my Windows 7, as it is much better than Vista. Is there anyway I can still keep Windows 7 and also have remote desktop facility.

I have a new Core i7 Desktop PC previously installed on Windows XP. When I try to install Windows 7 on my computer, I receive the Error Code: 0X80070006
I tried many times to fix it, but no result. This happens only when Windows starts to expand the files and at 0%. There are two HD drives and I removed the external one to check what the problem is. In the primary disk there is Windows XP SP3 installed on the C drive. I tried installing Win 7 using a flash drive but same problem. I'm not sure what is the solution for that ?? I have a wireless connection to connect to the Internet.

Hi,
I have bought a new computer where it was shipped with Windows 7 and I am not so comfortable with that. So I am looking for shifting to Windows XP before I dump my huge files onto my computer, where doing it in the later point may make it more tough, where I need to take back ups.
So please guide me to install Windows XP. I can even Google it but I just wanted to rely on expert comments, to make sure my brand new computer stays safe.

I am using a PC which has Windows 7 Ultimate as operating system.
For security I have to use a user password for my profile as its an official PC the password is really important.
As I am new to my work, sometimes I find it hard to remember my password.
I am worried about it that I may forget the password any time.
So please some one tell me what should I do if I forget the password?
Is there anyway to remove it or recover the password?
If there is anyway please tell me about it and I will be glad if I find it useful.
Someone please answer to me as quick as possible because I can forget it any time.

I have a cute laptop, which I use for playing games and to watch movies.
I recently started facing an odd problem with my laptop DVD drive; it is not able to play a particular Movie, that has been purchased recently by my father from his Arab trips. It’s too strange that I can play all the other CD’s, except this one. Could anyone say what would be the problem and has my DVD drive started to crash? Please clear my doubt. What I need to do to make this disk to play. This is not a single DVD it’s a set of 20 DVD’s.

I am here to check out how to solve a mouse jumping problem, since that disturbs me a lot when typing my mails and even when I am offline, while typing in Microsoft Works. I am not too techyv to do some troubleshooting on my own. Because of this problem, I intend to not take my laptop for official use on this condition. So really looking for someone to help.

I have a web cam attached to my computer, which I need to place out of my room at some distance to watch what is going on outside. Its a USB web cam. So I decided to extend my USB cable by attaching 5 USB cables with each other which I purchased from a store.
My problem is that, it is not detecting my web cam after using 5 cables attached with each other. I am getting installation of drivers but its getting failed due to unrecognized device attached to USB and malfunctioning. One of my friend managed to get it working by placing a USB hub in between the cables. How can I do this ? I really need to extend my USB to get this setup working for me. Any suggestion will be of great help. Thanks in advance.
