It’s been a quite a long time after the release of Windows 8 operating system for desktop users. I am trying to collectively understand the vulnerabilities, weak points, flaws in windows 8 OS. How was the performance as an OS compared to standard bench marks? Were the fire wall and internet safety features were more sophisticated? Can anybody compare the pros and cons of the windows operating systems? I have been using Windows since 2000 and gave always amazed to see that there is substitute for window OS. Thanks for your help in advance.

I am broke virtually. I have lost so many reading materials which I had printed into pdf, many freeware, and least importantly songs and other downloads. It wa all fine last time I turned off my computer. Now there is nothing other than sample pictures and music. It looks like I have created a new user account. Can anybody seriously suggest me to recover the files at least? I am really worried because the lost data included my brother’s thesis input data as well. He had stored a few hundreds xlsx documents and are now under threat. Can anybody soon throw us some help light?

I just recently upgraded my system from XP to Windows 7. I don’t have any issues with it yet. I just want to know how to disable error reporting with this platform? Can you provide me a detailed instructions on how to achieve this? Can you provide me also alternative ways on how to do this with Windows 7? I'm using Windows 7 and my PC is pretty powerful. People say that with a decent camera and a YouTube account, you can earn a lot of money. I will use my PC as the camera. I have a PC with the following specs:

CPU-Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz

GPU-Geforce 210 1GB

RAM-2GB DDR3

My PC is running slow from a few weeks though I haven't let any malware to attack my PC. I have not connected any external storage to my PC.

What actually happens is that all the icons on the desktop disappears after reboot? It seems like the system is in the seep freeze mode, a mode which was used many years back for controlling virus, I guess. How to fix?

I just installed Windows 7 and now I can't play a DVD in my DVD player. It is saying it isn't recognized. Is it because of Windows 7 itself or is it because of something with the installation?  hould I remove it and reinstall? Or is it possible it will never work with Windows 7? Thank you.
