I'm using Windows 7 and I noticed that the system restore points were deleted. They were deleted one at a time though. It seems that the drive space used is not that huge. Is this a indication of a virus or is this automatically done by Windows itself? Can this be avoided and whenever I want to, can I delete it manually?

I am using Gateway ZX6980 desktop with Windows 7 and it was working fine.

Recently, after doing a windows update, I started getting an issue where it will get stuck during startup and show message "Please wait" for hours. I have tried different ways and nothing worked. I have restored it to factory settings and then it started working fine. But, when it came to Windows Automatic Updates, again same thing happening. It got stuck for 5 hours on Configure windows and now stuck at please wait message like before. I am not finding any other way to try.

Can somebody suggest me how to proceed further? Thanks in advance.

Last week I purchased a new Toshiba Satellite C50-BBT2N11 Laptop with Windows 7 on it.

The main issue is that it is not shutting down properly. When I click the shutdown option just the screen closes the front page and spinning the shutdown icon. After taking 30-40 minutes I am only forcefully doing shutdown by Pressing on the button. After that if I start again, it is showing the error message that windows are not shut down properly.

What is actually going on here? Can somebody please suggest me to fix this issue. Thanks for your help in advance guys!

Recently I have upgraded my Sony VPCEG1BFX/W 14 Inch VAIO Laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1. I thought everything would go well. After upgrade of that I restarted it and strangely the system is asking to enter password. But for windows I didn't set any password.

I don't understand which password I need to give and how it is asking me to give a password? Anybody faced the same problem before? Could somebody tell me how to solve this issue? Thank you so much for reading and helping in Advance!

Processor: Intel Pentium

HDD: 500 GB

OS: Window 7 basic

How to speed it up it takes too much time in booting, starting any program, Even in deleting files from recycle bin, VLC player takes 4-5 minutes in starting.

Please suggest me the possible solution. I tried many Softwares, but none of them helped me.
