I just reinstalled windows 98 as an alternative operating system in my desktop. 

I opted for windows XP theme for windows 98(got the instructions from Microsoft website). 

However, every time I reboot my system the theme reverts to Windows 98. 

Can anybody help?

My system details are as follows:

Operating system: 98/XP

RAM: 512MB

Processor: Intel  P2

I’ve a Pentium 4 machine and I unable to boot windows 98 from it. It seems that MSDOS.SYS file is corrupt.

When I put a working version that file get deleted by itself.

(There are some garbled characters in the MSDOS.SYS file. That’s why I think that file is corrupted)

I’m waiting for a solution for this.

I have just started using windows 8 CP, but I am facing some problems regarding the display drivers.

I have recently installed the Adobe Photoshop on my system, but it loads very slowly.

When I try to initialize it, it gives me an error.

The screenshot of the error is as follows:

Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements.

Check the video card manufacture’s website for the latest software.

GPU enhancements can be enabled in the Performance panel of Preferences.

There have been many new Windows OS released since Windows 98. Are there any new programs that were made recently to run with Windows 98?

I created a number of users for windows 98 from control panel>Users. Now I wish to delete users, but could not find any option to do so . How can I delete them? I also want to give different access rights to different users. How can I do this?

I was told that the prerequisite to the execution of PC Interfacing is a WIndows 98 or ME operating system. This, they say, is because the system of objects used is not supported by Windows XP. 

My dilemma starts here because when I try to run setup in Win98, I get an error message that forces the operating system to shut down before actually loading into Windows. 

Please help me figure this out. By the way, I have a Core 2 Duo processor PC with an ASROCK motherboard.

I've been receiving a blue screen and fatal error 016F:BFF8CC32 whenever I restart my Windows 98 machine. 

This has stopped me from installing Software's and programs that I need, such as Verizon DSL and a printer software. 

I haven't tried anything yet because I might worsen the problem. 

Please help me out on this because I really need to get my machine up and running.

My OS is Windows 98 and IE, Avant browser and Firefox are used to surf sites but now IE is not able to open websites.

I had an existing old PC that’s runs with Windows 98 SE. The main purpose of my old PC is for downloading songs and other application. I just wonder in times of opening the downloaded file it opens slowly until a program error appear in my screen and also I can’t no longer used the task manager that need to close my hanged application.

I try to have a scan in my hard drive using an antivirus Norton 2009 and found a virus which I delete permanently. After I do some of isolation in my old PC and run some application the Program Error still there pointing the HCbatch.exexe.exe.

Please help me with this unique problem I face.
