Thank you for creating this site where we can get solutions to problems we encounter. My computer in which I installed XP operating system can only get access to Google website and cannot log on to any other sites. Kindly give me your assistance because this has caused me much worry. Surprisingly, other operating systems that I have on my other computers like vista and windows 7 operate efficiently. All my efforts to try and resolve this situation have proved futile. I have Windows XP 2 service pack. Previously everything is fine with my LAN,now the problem is I am unable to get access of the shared drives and documents on the other systems in my work place, where LAN is active. In my system no Network regarding option is active and even I cant access the Firewall option in my control panel. View Work group computers, My network Places, every icon is not working, but I can access the internet. Also I am unable to Print through the Printers which are used through LAN.

Can I get a proper useful answer for my query please!

I need a little assistance with my computers. I currently have eight computers, and I am starting to render farm for UDK and After Effects.

I am having a problem with one particular computer—the Dell Dimension 2350—because the Ethernet wouldn’t work in it.

I have tried the following drivers I found in Dell’s website but they all didn’t work—

I even installed Intel845GL chipset driver before I tried the Ethernet drivers but I didn’t find any luck.

I am working on a file that is shared through NAS. My problem is that sometimes when I save a copy of the file and then reopen it later, an error message would appear saying that the file does not exist and then would ask me to save a copy of the file.

All of us who have access to NAS use Microsoft Office 2007 however our computers’ operating systems vary among Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

The thing is the ones who are using Windows 7 are the only ones who are experiencing this kind of trouble with Excel.

If I don’t save a copy of the file in the NAS, the other users within the network will be affected.

Please help me figure this out. Thank you. 

My fellow workers and I are experiencing a problem with a Microsoft Excel sheet that is shared through our Network drive.

Full access to that Excel sheet was given to all 10 users to and we have also enable the Share Workbook option to allow more people to work on that workbook at the same time.

The problem is out of 10 users with full access, only six of them are able to work on the workbook.

The remaining four users would receive the error message saying “Recover my data and restart Microsoft Office Excel”.

I am hoping you’ll be able to help us identify the problem and to find a solution. Thank you.
