Windows Vista
Dear Techys,
I am having trouble with my HP G7000 laptop. The problem started after a reformat was done. I just wanted to do a clean start with my laptop, but after doing it, my laptop is a mess.
The problem specifically is in my Windows Explorer. My laptop is running on Windows Vista SP2. Believe me, It still got lots of memory. Whenever I am using 3 or more application programs, then I would open Windows Explorer, then my Windows explorer will suddenly froze. On the top of the box, it would say Windows Explorer is not responding. After a restart, and tried opening 3 or more programs again, the same thing will happen.
I do not know what is happening in my laptop.
Please help.

I could not run Windows Update on my Windows Vista. Every time I try to update, it would only fail with and Error 80244019. I think it has something to do with reaching the update server, however this doesn’t explain the problem.
I’ve tried my friend computer which also installed with a Windows Vista and update it take a couple of minutes but the update doesn’t fail. I check if I can connect to the net and thinking that it has something to do with my Internet connection but everything was fine.
I’ve also tried my own tricks like resetting the modem, restarting the computer but find no solution for my problem. I think I misconfigured something from my past usage of my computer that causes this problem.

I have a Windows Vista Home Basic installed in my laptop. Every time I started my laptop and while it is in the middle of the booting process, I received this error message
Windows has blocked some startup programs
Windows blocks programs that require permission to run when Windows starts. Click to view blocked programs.

Hey, I am using a Windows Vista Operating System in my machine. The Acer laptop is already two years old. All was fine when suddenly, when the laptop was turned on, to my surprise it is on safe mode. As I remembered correctly, no other change was done on any of my programs.
In addition, my laptop was properly turned off before the starting in safe mode issue came. I have done several researches on how to fix this kind of issue such as running a scandisk, restarted my computer and it is still on safe mode. As seen also in one of the tech websites, I used disk defragmenter, restarted my computer, but I am still experiencing the issue. I am about to lose hope. Please help in solving my laptop’s issue.

Hi folks,
I have got a HP Pavilion Model# dv6700 notebook (Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370, along with 3 Giga Memory). I have also installed Windows Vista Home Premium on it. But I am facing an issue with it's start-up. In-fact, it was probably performing an update automatically and now it won't start up anymore.
It usually gets to the screen where it says "Configuring updates etc: Stage 4 of 4 – 7% complete" please Do not turn off your computer. But there it hangs for almost 20-35 seconds, then no advancements in the 7%. After that, it just reboots automatically.

Hello everybody,
I am here to find a clue about a technical issue, which I am facing for last four days. I have a Dell laptop. I have installed MS windows Vista on my laptop and I am having problem while using it (the problem is only related to C drive). Well, the issue is that my Windows Vista won’t load.
Whenever I want to start my Laptop (after completing the BIOS start-up runway) it does not load further and a still blank page appears.
I am going crazy due to this particular issue because I have done all the things which I could do myself to solve this… Even after trying different tricks I am not been able to succeed. The steps which I took earlier to fix this problem are given below.

My father reformatted his Windows XP PC because of slow performance caused by many computer viruses when he realized to upgrade the OS into Vista Home Edition Service Pack 2. In the middle of the installation process, he got this error message “ERROR_CRC (0X80070017).”

My cousin and I attempted to install Vista SP2 but it stopped the installation process because it found out that I have no enough space for my drive C anymore. Therefore, I tried to move my File directory to Drive D but this error appeared “The system cannot move the file to a different disk drive: Error_Not_Same_Device (0X80070011).”
And so, I deleted some file contents in the Drive C and allocated enough space for Vista SP2 but the same error had occurred. Any valuable help please? I believed the problem was caused by low disk space issue but I do not have any idea on how I can get started to rectify a solution.
Thanks a lot for the help.

I cannot use my desktop for some reason. It won't boot up. My Operating System is Windows Vista. The CPU is just manually built up by my brother's friend. It has been three years that I am using this computer and just a month ago, from Operating System of XP.
I finally decided to switch to Windows Vista. I think, I should not have because I am now experiencing this issue.
I am not sure if Vista is prone to Ntfs.sys error, but I encountered this from switching to it. Just thinking about the hassle in reformatting once again, transferring files and thinking of files that I was not able to save makes me weak.
Is there any other way to solve this without the reformat?
