Windows Vista
Well I use Vista Home Premium on my new PC with 6GB of ddr RAM. I have been experiencing this error for a couple of weeks now and tomorrow I take off some time to fix this issue once and for all but as a last resort I am hoping the internet can provide me with something.
The error is that windows pops up with a message.
"HOST PROCESS FOR WINDOWS SERVICES STOPPED WORKING AND WAS CLOSED."
Now if there is any info that you can give me, which can solve my problem or can help me in removing this problem once and for all, tomorrow will be deeply appreciated.

Hi I purchased my PC four years ago and it came with the Windows Vista installed. I have been using it for the past 4 years without any problem but now a few days back I get this message
"There is a problem with your license Description: The Security Processor reported a system file mismatch error. Validate your product online."
I have a valid OS disk that comes with my PC and a valid product key and I did check that it was activated when I bought my PC. I have tried everything to resolve the problem even reinstalled my OS, still I get the same error after sometime. Need help.

Hi,
I recently updated from windows XP to Windows Vista after I moved into my new home. Back in my old home I had a wireless service and am trying to install one right now in my new home so I am using my LAN cable to connect my laptop to the router. Now the problem I have is that the firewall in my new Windows Vista won’t start and it gives me the same message whenever I start it saying,
“Windows cannot start the firewall service”.
If there is any way I can turn the firewall on please tell me also if it’s a wiring problem like I think it is please inform me.

I am using Windows Vista and it comes with the preinstalled Windows Defender. Now my problem is that when I click on the Windows Defender a window pops up and says “Application failed to Initialize”.
To correct this I went to the Microsoft Windows website and tried to download Windows Defender but it says I don’t need to download it because defender is included in my Vista pack. I am out of ideas now and don’t know how to start it. Please help me out to use this service as Windows rarely provide you with free stuff that is worth running on your PC.

I have Windows Vista Home premium and recently I updated it to service pack 2. Before updating I used to write my backup CDs almost every week and they worked perfectly fine but after the updates, I am having a problem when I write them. The Windows gives me a message saying.
‘Windows was unable to complete the format'.
I don’t know what the problem is since I am using the exact same brand of DVDs that I have been using for the past year and never before have they given me a problem with reading or writing. Should I switch back to my service pack or is there a way I can make this right?

Hello, I recently started receiving messages twice or thrice when my computer is running. They say
Catalyst Control Centre: host application has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

My computer is set to update automatically. Oftentimes, I forgot to check on the updates installed on it.
I will just recognize that my computer updated when it ask me to restart my system. I am running Windows Vista Business Edition.
Just today, it updated again but when it ask me to restart my computer, after hitting the restart button, I end up with the configuring updates window from 1 of 3 to 3 of 3. I waited for it to finish updating, but it seems that the last part is not successful because it stops from there.

I am trying to install Windows 7 to my old Windows Vista, when it asked for 14GB free spaces. My computer has 1GB RAM, 80 GB HDD with Intel Core 2 Duo inside.
I tried compressing C Drive then restart my computer. But when it open, it won't let me boot on, there is an error of BOOTMGR is compressed Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart.. That's really distressing.
I don't realize that compressing my C Drive will stop my computer from booting.. I inserted the installation disk to try to repair my system, but it just won't work. My system did not boot from the installation disk. I forgot that my operating system is stored in C: root directory as a hidden file.
How can I restore it if I don't have any back up at all?
