I recently installed windows vista on my laptop and used it for 2-3 months.

Now after experiencing a lot of bugs in the windows vista I want to install my old XP back but the problem is that I can’t.

When I insert my XP CD and try to install it the system says you already have the latest version installed. My friend told me to format my pc and then install it but that means re installing all my required software and also taking a huge back up.

Is there any easy way to get my XP back without formatting my computer.

Hey guys,

I'm using Windows XP SP3 for about 2 years, then some of my friends used Windows 7. Now, I'm just curious if it's possible to have two operating systems to my computer at the same time. Do you think installing Windows 7 won't affect my old Operating system (Windows XP)? And also can anyone tell me how to install another operating system without losing my old files? Is there an advantage having two operating system? I'm Hoping to hear from your suggestion guys, so if ever possible I can start trying to install the Windows 7 immediately. Thanks much!!

I am having a very annoying problem. Some programs i have installed in my PC comes at the startup. Every time i open the PC and those comes and some times those makes the PC slow due to their starting.

My PC need more time to start due to those unwanted programs though they are important but at the starting they are not wanted.

I am using Windows XP professional service Pack 2, and now my question is that what is the way to stop them from coming at the start?

I mean how can i remove those programs from my startup?

A detail answer may be helpful to me as i have not enough knowledge of different tabs and tools.

So please describe the process step by step. So i can understand and follow your instructions.

My computer will not start. It shows the XP logo but then startup is canceled, I get the choice of safe mode, last known good configuration and start windows normally but none work. I have been told it's a hardware problem and I should delete the new hardware from my computer to fix my initial problem. I test hardware to install another computer and no problem there. I try to repair windows by chkdsk command but problem is same. Occasionally my computer run and I can work but most of the times it’s occurring this problem how can I solve this?
