Windows XP

Windows XP

I really do not understand how this could happen.  My Windows XP would run normally after I boot it up in safe mode and run chkdsk.  After it finds out that there are no errors, it would boot.  However, if I boot it up normally, the system would hang.  What should I do? Can anybody figure out how this could happen?

Hello, could I get help regarding my Windows XP Pro? Whenever I load it, it takes so much of my time.  I timed  it and it loads for about 7-8 minutes.  There are no problems after I load it.  It's just that it takes too much time loading.

I tried the following tactics to try and solve this hassle: running the anti-virus softwares,  Acronis backup and Highjack.  However, nothing was found and it says that it is safe.  Could  somebody check it out? Maybe you could find something I failed to see.

XP in WIN7 workgroup can't access HP printer. My workgroup consists of two computers, one with Windows 7 Home Premium and the other with XP.  Two printers, HP Office Jet J6450 and Laser Jet1320 are attached to the Windows 7 machine.  These printers are shared.

The XP machine can use the OfficeJet but can’t access the LaserJet.

What am I to do?

The Specs of my computer are 1.1 AGhz Celeron, 128 MB RAM and 40 GB Hard disk with Windows XP Pro. Sometimes, when I turn it on, while it is still loading, I would hear some BEEPS, some beeping sounds which would last from 30 to 60 seconds. The beeping sound would persist unless I would restart my computer. I don’t know what causes the BEEPS. Is it a software clash or is it a hardware defect? Please help me analyze this problem and kindly give me some solution for it. Thank you so much.

I got the message UNDOCUMENTED ERROR CODE when I played the game Sudden Strike. I got this message after I’ve installed XP Home which includes the service pack 2. I did not experience this before. It is only this time, after the XP Home installation, that I encountered this problem. Please help me in determining what could be the possible cause for this problem and how can I probably fix it. Thank you.

I have had some difficulty in writing files to the CD/CDRW using the XP Software. I wanted to add HIDDEN to the file when it is written to the CD, but then it would not be saved. I cannot perform any action on the file because it is “read only” file. When I would automatically save the files to CDRW, the old files would still be there which would just be overlapped by the new files. What shall I do in order to properly clean the CD? Please help me on how to do it. Thank you in advance.

I am having a problem with Windows XP Operating System. It shows an error message during start up. I tried XP recovery console to fix it up but could not fix it. The DISKPART Command Line shows three partitions where the Partition C is displayed as 'unknown' and other two partitions are in correct configuration. How do I recover Drive-C by retaining previous data in the drive? Your suggestion/s would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

I use Microsoft windows XP on with Dell laptop. Now from couple of last days I have got myself stuck in an issue eventually. More briefly I would like to tell you that it was just out of my curiosity that I myself went to the manufacturer website of my laptop and then downloaded (its) BIOS update setup and after that I tried to update it. Just on the way, however the laptop got stacked for so much long time that’s why I tried to shut it down by pressing and also hold the power button but I wasn’t able to do so.  Now my laptop’s screen even cannot be connected or it doesn’t start anymore.
