I have a computer named Compaq Presario sr1000 and it is 7 years old. I have installed windows XP on it. The problem is that I want to install XP service pack3 but when I am trying to install this version of windows that problem are occurring some time any of the files of windows will be missed or sometime the files of the Windows XP service pack 3 was corrupted. Then I have to restore the computer to its first point where the computer started. Can anyone understand this critical situation of my computer then please send me the solution.

My question is that I have windows XP professional edition.  I want to scan my computer to get rid form the error and different other issues but when I want to search the scan disk option of the computer then I cannot access to it where is it. I find every where scan disk option but I cannot find it. Please help me in finding is issue so that can possible the I scan my computer errors and my computer will work properly.

I have windows xp professional service pack 2 from many years but in the past few days I take long time to make login and reach login screen also make check for things that are not exist like floppy drive and also take long time. So please anyone tell me what is the problem and how to fix.

I have an Mercury TV card.

All the time when I first install the TV card after Windows reinstall, the following message come during the installation process. If I click 'continue anyway', installation resume but clicking 'stop installation' cancel the installation process.

Does anybody know why this message come?

Windows XP is really good. I have used it. Now i need to update it. I do not Update it. I am trying many more times to update but I failed. There are many An option I fine Microsoft windows site but it is so hard for updating. It show so Easy to update but so hard to doing that. Why can't I copy and paste in my Word document? If I accidentally point the mouse on the 'send to' in the drop down message, it hangs. I have to end it up through the Windows Task Manager.
