Wireless Networking
I have a smart phone and I frequently connect to internet via free hotspots available everywhere. But recently I could see that my mobile had slowed down a lot and hence got this doubt. Is security in mobiles sufficient enough to browse, check mails, pay bills using free Wi-Fi? What happens to my mobile for getting slow down for no reason? Does Android provide more security or the other windows phone? What are the vulnerabilities involved in accessing some unknown internet hotspots which comes from unknown source?

I’d like to make sure that my home wifi is secure and that no one can have easy access to it. My modem and wifi connection in my house was set up by the technician when it was first installed. I heard that you can actually set up your own password on it. How should I do it? I have a modem with a brand name “Billion” in front of it. Complete name is Billion BiPAC 7800NXL ADSL2+/3G/4G wireless router. Can I use letters and numbers for my password?

My wifi shows connected in my wifi icon on my Galaxy Tab S 8.4 but it’s not allowing me to browse or have access to any of my applications. I have tried rebooting my modem and the tablet but it still does the same thing. It does the same thing with my android phone but my laptop is working fine. What should I do to fix it? What other steps can I do before calling my internet service provider? I don’t want to spend an hour on the phone about this if I can quickly solve it.

After BOOTING my windows 7 pc, I've been unable to connect to the internet. My motherboard is an asrock m3a77ode. I've checked my bios version and its 1.80(the newest one on their website) tried resetting to default bios version and reinstalled my NVIDIA chipset drivers as well as the Realtek drivers I've been advised to use on other websites. Nothing works and theres still a yellow mark next to Ethernet controller in device manager, despite my network adaptor driver apparently functioning properly.

I was viewing features on YouTube. At that point, while there's one stacking, in the feature screen, an overview appeared. It didn't look suspicious, as it didn't open any new tabs or anything, besides, it looked YouTube, and, as I trust YouTube, I addressed the review, and clicked the submit catch. When I did that did my feature begin playing, as well as Avast told me that a malware had been identified. I just had reliable destinations on, and I don't download anything on this PC. Will somebody let me know what this is?

I have recently bought this Linksys N300 WiFi Router on $40. It is fairly good and it promises of speed of 20 Mbps. I am now extremely annoyed when I saw that my seed on speedtests.net was only around 0.80 Mbps. What can I do to make it in 20 Mbps? Actually, my friend and I had bought the router at the same time in the same price but he is enjoying the speed of 20 Mbps and I am having a hard time sticking with 1 Mbps. What is the problem's cause? Should I call technical help or should I buy a new one?
