Wireless Networking
I'm going to setup a wireless connection and i would like to be perfectly distributed, a boosted signal, extended wireless range and improved wireless speed and performance.
My questions is all about the following;
1. Wireless access point (WAP). I would like to know all about access points.
2. Antennas. A tested and accurate type of high-gain antenna
3. Do i need to upgrade my network adapter or should i prefer to use the built-in one.
4. Advantage of wireless repeater.
5. Setting up and modifying wireless channel.
6. Router configuration. How to configure my router and where to find the router configuration page.
7. All about wireless interference.

Hi guys,
I'm to enter MAC address of my Wireless Lan adapter in my Wireless Router. And I'm unable to find its MAC address. Its not written on my Notebook, and its not showing up when I put the command "ipconfig /all" in command prompt.
My ethernet adapted and some other things ( I don't know what they are) are showing up after putting the command "ipconfig /all" but the Wireless Lan Adapter is not showing. I have an Atheros Wi-fi adapter.
Please help me out to resolve that issue as soon as possible.
Regards,
Reddings

I have a wireless router with an open security, but every time I try to connect my laptop to the wireless I keep on getting a message "unable to connect”. I don't know what to do, my router is out of warranty and the manufacturer won't support my product anymore unless I pay for the support. I would appreciate it if someone will be able to help me for this.

My wifi router is placed near the modem and phone line. I want to increase the signal output of my wifi router to reach my room. My room is adjacent and above to the router. Is there a way to do this without costing me much?
