We currently have one computer, a P1.6 w/512 Megs RAM. I just bought a new computer that I plan on using, for gaming that is a DUO CORE 2.6 w/2G RAM.

I want to put the old computer in my brother;s office and my computer in my office and have them both hooked up to the internet. I have cable internet and it is in my office. I bought a wireless router, with my new computer but I am not sure what i need to do with my brother's computer.

What do I need to be able to get him online? Does it have to be a PCI card or can I buy a USB PLUG in wireless adapter ?

Also, this says it is USB 2.0, the computer he will be using has USB 1.0, since it is an old computer.

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate. I recently bought a new Windows Vista software and I am unable to view computers on my wireless network. It’s just showing workgroup machine, in cmd box. 

They are on the same workgroup. From the command prompt I type, "Net view" and enter and it returns an error, "System error 6118 has occurred" after two minutes.

Can you tell me if the cell used with ATM, is small or large and why ?

Is there any difference between ATM and TCP/IP ? If yes, list out the difference.

I just installed a 2830 with an AP800 providing wireless. I am having a strange issue, where the wireless is working fine and devices can happily use the internet, next internet stops but with no change to wireless connection on the devices.

Wireless connection doesn’t drop, IP address is still active but without internet.

Please tell me how to solve this problem?

I am receiving this particular error while connecting to my VPN Server. If anyone knows how to solve this error, please do reply When I click the redial button, it retries to connect to the VPN Server but after 30 seconds it again displays the same error.

Error Connecting

Error 800: Unable to establish VPN connection.

The VPN server may be unreachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection.

I don’t understand how this error can be removed or resolved.

Hi, this is John hoping to get a solid solution to my problem.

I got a job as a network administrator at a University and after 3 days at the Lab of University I faced this error.

All clients are well connected to the server through VPN, but one of them has started giving this particular error regarding the Verification of IP, forwarding table modifications and so not getting connected to the server.

The VPN client was unable to successfully verify the IP forwarding table modifications. A VPN connection will not be established.

I was surfing the internet today at home, then this error appeared. I can’t understand it, can someone help me out please.

Let me tell you what happened. I was doing online work and was downloading images and then saving it to the server, from a client computer. At the same time, when I downloaded a bunch of images and then accessed the server, to place the images in the server shared folder, I received this error message which says, "the VPN client is unable to establish connection".

My system gave this error today morning, while I was configuring my VPN and am stuck with it.  Can’t get rid of it.

I did a few experiments to solve it, like I un-installed and re-installed VPN but after installation it gave the same error again.  Then I tried to repair it, by restarting the setup and checking the repair option but it still gave the same error, half way of repair operation.

The VPN client driver has encountered an error.

Now I am looking for a VPN expert to solve my problem as I am working on a very important project and it needs to be finished right today.  

Now can someone tell me what this tunnel option is?

I am fed up of seeing it again and again.

I was establishing a net lab at a School.

I installed VPN server on the server machine and it worked well.

Then I installed VPN client end on client computers.  

It got installed but the client computer on which I had installed VPN Client gave me this error, "Failed to connect to the server invalid tunnel option".

Failed to connect for the following reason: Invalid tunnel options.

A morning wish to all Gurus, especially to VPN specialists.

I am here today with an error to be resolved.  I am running a server and serving many clients at different locations.

One of my client is receiving this error message on his PC.

 I have checked his connection settings and VPN client settings thoroughly but still the error reappears.
