Wireless Networking

Wireless Networking

Hi,

I am using a Dell Inspiron Laptop but I am having an issue with my wireless connection. The issue is that, my wireless connection does not work properly. Meaning it works sporadically (sometimes it works; sometime it fails to do so).

I am using an Ethernet cable. My SSID shows connected and excellent and also my AT & T service includes an IP, which is constant. I have adopted different ways to overcome this problem but none of them helped me to handle this issue.

I have a laptop and its model is "HP Compaq NC 6000". It does not have WiFi support but is has wireless connectivity.

I get some wireless network signals from my home and I configured them myself. The operating system of the laptop is Windows XP service pack 2.

When I configure the connection, a notification message comes, that I have got connected. But when I try to use the same setting in my browser, the browser can't find any connectivity!!

Can anyone tell me what the probable cause of this problem is? Can you also suggest ways to get connected to the Wireless Network.

Moreover, those servers are not password protected, so there is no basic problems I can find.

I am facing a problem on internet connection on my computer while using through My Nokia N72 mobile. Previously it was working very smoothly and I never faced a problem while using the internet.

My problem is that whenever I Tried to open a page with my internet browser, It takes a lot of time and at the end shows the error “timed out”.

So I disconnect the internet and then reconnect to the internet using the same mobile, It starts working. But after browsing few pages it again shows the same error. Every time I have to disconnect & reconnect the internet connection to keep browsing. It’s really irritating and wastes my lot of time.

I have been having a problem with my D-Link wireless router lately. When I tried to diagnose the issue with Windows Network Diagnostics, it shows the following message: Windows tried a repair but a problem still exists.

Windows Network Diagnostics

Cannot communicate with Primary DNS Server (IP REMOVED).

Network diagnostics pinged the remote host but did not receive a response. Reset the network adapters "Wireless Network Connection" Resetting the adapter can sometimes resolve an intermittent problem.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks.

What is a Wimax network?
What is a WiFi network?
What is a GSM or CDMA network?

First i have to know what are those different type of networks what are the basic definition and difference between them.

I basically understand that in cell phone network mainly GSM and CDMA is used and some Mobile operators supports WiFi technology. But i have no clear idea of how it is done and what are the differences. All those network are wireless and works on signals or frequencies. But not all device supports all type of frequencies that's why mobile and modem are required.

I can connect to other wireless networks but I cannot go online, connecting to my own network. After attempting, it says 'limited or no connectivity'.

You have to setup or configure your wireless router, in order to synchronize their settings. Especially the IP address, the Gateway and the DNS which were given to you, by your ISP provider and especially check if your router is setup with the SSID.

It should be same as your settings in your wireless setup.

Thanks for the help.

Hi there! I hope someone answers my query and helps me with it.

I have just setup my wireless network. I know my network's wireless settings (SSID, Channel, Wireless key…etc.). The problem is, I don't know how to connect my new Windows 7 computer to my wireless network.

The computer is using a built-in wireless card. If the computer is plugged directly to the router, it can go online, if I unplug it, it cannot go online.
