3D Studio Max is already installed on the computer

I am receiving a message stating the “3D Studio Max is already installed on the computer” while trying to install it. Though I have installed it before I believe that it was successfully uninstalled. I have also tried using the Diagnostic tool, Safe mode and association tool. How can I successfully install 3D Studio Max on my computer?

3D Studio Max is already installed on the computer

You might want to check your computer and make sure that all the files related to that application have been removed from the C: partition on the primary hard drive. You may have successfully uninstalled the application from the control panel but then there may be patches of the application that are still remaining on your computer and therefore you will need to remove them as follows:

• Go to your computer, and then open the C drive.
• Open program files.
• In that folder, look for the folder for the application and delete it.

After that you can try installing it again and see if all goes well.
