3DS Max cannot launch and shows error

Hi,

The 3ds Max is a good modeling and rendering software. I downloaded and installed it on my computer but then I could not launch it because of the error shown below. I tried to restart my computer but then still got the same error. Please advice on what to do.

3ds Max

The software license failed to initialize. [Error 7]

3DS Max cannot launch and shows error

Hi Mark,
The error has occurred because of problem with the setup files installation.
The solution to the error is:
1) Remove the older version of 3DSMax
2) Restart the system
3) Delete file 'C:/3dsmax4.2'
4) Delete file 'C:/C_dila'
5) Install full version 3dsmax4.2
6) Restart
7) Start file 'C:/C_dila/setup/cdsetup.exe
8) Start 3DSMax

3DS Max cannot launch and shows error

Hi Mark E Ward,

The error might be from an installation glitch. You may try installing again but if 3ds Max still does not work, you may want to do the following:

1. Back up your files.

2. Search for the folder that contains 3dsmax.ini and delete the folder.

3. Restart 3ds Max.
