3ds Max Design 2012 Entry Point Not Found

Hello friends. I am having some problem during the launching of 3ds Max on my PC. I have Windows 7 installed on it.

Other software’s are working fine but when I try to launch the 3ds Max Design 2012, an error appears with the given image saying that “3dsmax.exe – Entry point Not Found. The procedure entry point…

Could not be located in the dynamic link library splash.dll.” I need your assistance to solve this issue. Please help me and tell me why does this error appear and the reason why the software doesn’t run. If anyone knows the right solution to it,

3dsmax.exe – Entry Point Not Found

The Procedure entry point?getAppHInst@ResourceManages@@QEAAPEAUHINSTANCE__@@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library splash.dll.

3ds Max Design 2012 Entry Point Not Found

3ds Max 2010 and 3ds Max Design 2010 were released prior to Windows 7. A hotfix was issued after release to resolve the issue. To resolve the startup error, you need to install the following Service Pack and Hotfix-

3ds Max 2010:

• 3ds Max 2010 SP1
• 3ds Max 2010 Hot Fix 2010-2009.09.22 (HF7)

3dsMax Design 2010:

• 3ds Max Design 2010 SP1
• 3ds Max 2010 Hot Fix 2010-2010.02.17

After installing the updates for 3ds Max 2010 or 3ds Max Design 2010, the error on startup of 3ds Max 2011 or 3ds Max Design 2011 should be resolved. Check the following page regularly to ensure that you’re up to date with the latest Updates & Service Packs for your release of 3ds Max or 3ds Max Design-
