Is a 4G phone worth it?

My mobile data company is pushing me to buy a new phone with a 4G plan. This would be significantly more expensive, and I won’t have unlimited data of internet use. However, they guarantee that I would reach an ADSL speed on my phone, which would be quite handy. I still remain unsure, however.

Is it worth it? Should I wait for the prices to go down a bit? Is the increased speed really noticeable?

Hello,

There is no doubt about 4G is much way better then 3G as it is 10X faster. But that is just a technical thing. Then question that any user should upgrade to 4G is all about usability for that particular user. If you are just a very average user, who hardly use phone for receiving calls or SmS, then I will not suggest you to spend such a huge extra cost. But if you are real tech geek, whose life rotates around the their smartphones using different apps and internet throughout the day and night, then this is really worth for you. Advantages ogf 4G over 3G are:

Faster downloading than 3G:

Now no more annoying long waiting times for uploads and downloads, varies form an image or video uploads or web page refreshing, even zero buffer time for video streaming. Even online music playback will also improve.

Amazing video calling:

Video chat will be free from the requirement of broad band connection. 4 G will provide you the facility of anytime and anywhere video calling .

Gaming:

Now you can enjoy full-fledged gaming experience on your handset only, as you enjoy at your home setups. Lot more then “Angry-Bird” and “Subway-Surfer” like games.

Hot spotting:

This is one of the best features about 4G network. You will be able to share your network by creating a hot spot on your mobile. In this way you will be able to share your smartphone’s data usage over your PC or Tab.

Hope you get all of your answers now.
