Hi there,
I have purchased this 4TB Seasgate Drive and it was working well on my Asus Transformer Book TX300 until recently when after connection, the drive will take time to show on the explorer and after showing, it takes a lot of time to open folders on the drive, safe removal freezes my screen and I have to restart my computer to continue using the computer, what could be causing this problem? How do I solve this problem?

There are bad sectors on this 4TB Seagate Drive. I hope that this is still under warranty so visit the nearest service center. The technician will verify it and will try to fix the bad sectors. They will replace it if the problem persists.
Meanwhile, you can try to defragment the drive.
Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Defragmenter
Click on 'Defragment disk' button. Defragmentation may take a couple of hours based on amount of data.
This will certain boost the performance. You will also get the detailed report about your disk problem, if any.

I think you are referring to an external hard drive which you connect via USB cable. Normally, this kind of drive includes a software of its own which you need to install on your computer just like with a Western Digital external hard drive. When you plug your external hard drive on the USB port, you should see two drives appear.
The first drive is the ROM drive for the external hard drive and the second drive is the actual storage drive. The driver software is located on the ROM drive. Just run the setup file to install it. Once the driver is installed, you should see an improvement on the drive’s performance.
If this doesn’t work and the drive still appears slow when being mounted on your system, it can be a problem with the USB connection. Try transferring the USB cable to another USB port. If this doesn’t work, try connecting the external hard drive to another computer then see if the problem is the same. If the problem is the same, try changing the USB cable.
But if the drive is fast on the other computer, try updating the drivers of your motherboard. You can download the driver from your motherboard’s manufacturer website.
