I am using ABIS and encountered another issue while using this.

I tried to put my finger expressions on, however, an error message appeared on the screen that states:

Error:

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. At Neurotec.Samples.LongTaskForm.RunLongTask(String title,DoWorkEventHandler callback, Object arg, Control ctrl) in C:Usersjeff.DOMAIN1DownloadsNeurotec_Biometric_4_2_SDK_2011-12-06Neurotec_Biometric_4_2_SDKSamplesBiometricsVBAbisSampleVBCommonLongTaskForm.vb:line 37 at Neurotec.Saples.Fingers.AddFingerprintsPage.bwCapture_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e) in C:Usersjeff.DOMAIN1DownloadsNeurotec_Biometric_4_2_SDK_2011-12-06Neurotec_Biometric_4_2_SDKSamplesBiometricsVBAbisSampleVBFingersAddFingerprintsPage.vb:line 1303

I hope to get some concrete advise to resolve this problem.

If this program that you are using works perfectly well during your last sessions, just try restarting your computer then try it again. Maybe it’s just a fluke and will work fine the next time you start your system. Try using it again after booting the system and see if it works now.

But if it’s still the same and generated the same kind of error again, try doing a clean installation of the program again to remove any possible corrupted files that are possibly affecting the application. Uninstall the application then restart your system to have a fresher environment. After booting check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities, or Norton SystemWorks. Install the application again after this.

If your system doesn’t have any other problems besides this, your application should work now since it’s a fresh installation.
