Hi there user:
Yes. Samsung Galaxy is an Android OS which is capable of handling excel files. I’m pretty sure Quick Office was built-in to your Galaxy, but its functions are only limited. You can transfer your files to your Galaxy to edit, but you can’t make a new one using it.
Anyway, you stated that you commonly do these files on your computer, but you always travel, and you don’t bring your computer often so you have to share or transfer these files into your Galaxy. And if you opt to have the full function of Quick Office, download the Quick Office Pro. Which you can make a (new) excel file, edit, modify, most likely using your computer while you travel.
Thanks for your post.
Best regards,

Hello Gregory,
I think the Samsung Galaxy Tab is a fantastic device.
It runs android operating system.
It is very comfortable to use and very responsive, And it supports office files such as PDF files, DOC files and Excel files so there's no need to bring your computer or laptop with you when you travel.
Other ways of handling files is by downloading Quick Office Pro and also Smart Office.
