I am using avast for how many years in my windows xp operating system. And I want to know how does the remote management of avast protects the security of our computers from malicious viruses and files. Just give me an idea how does a remote management affects the computers and the antivirus itself.

Hi,

The Remote Management system is available in the AVAST Business Edition  only. AVAST protects the remote computers from virus through its managing Server and SQL Database. With the help of managing server it keeps all the data of user along with scan reports. This server is connected with the remote computers through Internet.

Hi Eckel,

Since Avast has a remote assistance feature it communicates to the remote user or client. It basically takes control of computers remotely and then the remote program solves technical or malware issues. These remote assistance sessions are routed through AVAST secure server to ensure safety and only user admin can start this session.

These sessions initiates on the behalf of user and with the help of any outbound connection through AVAST server. The remote technology has a central management console application running which helps to control the overall functionality of a system.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Baker
