I am running Mac OS X Server 10.7 with calendar server on it. When some of my clients received an invitation on a mail attachment which is a .ics file, and then include this event to the iCal, the error below will appear and I don't know why it incurs. So can someone please help me in resolving it?

Try something like this. Backup iCal first because this method will delete calendar data. Click Apple menu, System Preferences, and select iCloud. In iCloud, uncheck “iCal sync”. Open iCal and then confirm that the iCloud account is removed from the iCal preferences under accounts. Exit iCal and then open System Preferences again.

In the iCloud System Preferences screen, check “iCal sync”. Open iCal again and confirm that your iCloud account is enabled in iCal preferences under accounts. In case this procedure didn’t work for you, completely logout from iCloud and then login again. You can also try removing the user information, calendars, cache, and plist files.

Logout all iCal and iCloud accounts and then open Finder, Go, Go To Folder, and type without quotes “~/Library/”. Delete the following: contents of Caches folder, iCal plist files located inside Preferences folder, and contents of Calendars directory. After that, restart your computer. Open System Preferences and then enter your iCloud account details.

Open iCal and confirm that all calendars have loaded and there are no errors. Add additional accounts into iCal such as Exchange.
