When you buy an Acer laptop, it normally comes with a driver CD like with my sister’s Acer Aspire laptop. And that CD contains multiple drivers per device. Like for example, for the touchpad and webcam, I found more than one driver for these devices. So, since you are also using an Acer laptop, this might also be the same.

So, since your webcam is not working properly with the driver you installed, try installing the other driver for the webcam that comes with the CD.
