The Acer Iconia Tab A700 is a quad-core tablet that features a retina-like display of 10.1 inches with a 1920 x 1200 full 1080p HD resolution – the highest resolution on an android tablet to date. It runs with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

It is powered up by a 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM.  It comes with a 32 GB built-in storage, Micro SD slot capable of supporting up to 64 GB of SD cards, one Micro HDMI port and one Micro USB port. The rear of A700 has a 5 megapixel camera and at the front is a 1 megapixel camera.

The tablet’s audio is packed with Dolby Mobile 3 Technology joined with 5.1 channel surround sound. A700 will be available in black or silver.

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 tablet is not a GSM device and will not work on any cellular network around the world. It was unveiled on January 2012 and released on August 2012. It measures 259 x 175 x 11 millimeters and weighs 665 grams. The use of a SIM card is not supported.

It has an LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 1920 x 1200 pixels screen resolution. It supports multi-touch. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset, Quad Core 1.3 GHz processor, and ULP GeForce GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 32 GB.

It runs on 1 GB RAM with internal storage available in the following capacities: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB. The primary camera supports 5 megapixels with LED flash and autofocus. The primary camera features geo-tagging and can record video in 720p. It has a secondary camera.

It has 3.5-millimeter jack with Dolby Mobile 3 support; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR support; GPS with A-GPS support; microUSB 2.0, and USB 2.0. It doesn’t have radio. It has built-in accelerometer, gyro, and compass sensors. The pre-installed web browser supports HTML5 with Adobe Flash Player support. Java is not supported.

It runs on a non-removable Li-Ion 9800 mAh battery with talk time up to 10 hours via multimedia. It is available in Titanium Gray and Metallic Red colors.
