Activation error. Cannot register key file as an additional license

Hello

Recently I bought a new subscription license for kaspersky antivirus 2012 but as soon as I activated my new subscription license, I was met with an error on the screen.

The screenshot of the error is as follows:

The error states:

Do you really want to delete the active license?

Computer protection will be disabled.

To get rid of this error, I tried to delete the active license but still the same error keeps on popping up on my screen.

If anyone can please shed some light on this issue, I'll be really obliged.

Activation error. Cannot register key file as an additional license

Hello John,

It seems that you were using earlier version of the antivirus program. The previous program might not have been completely uninstalled. There seems to be some files of the older antivirus program is still remaining in your computer. Use revo Uninstaller to completely remove the program and the associated files with it. Reinstall the program which you have subscribed for and enter he product key again. This should work fine.
