Activation process has been terminated on (Rockstar Games)

I now very frustrated because of the problem I had for several days now and still unresolved. I always get an activation code error thus I cannot load up the program.

 

 

I know this is not a problem with my system, but it may be a problem on the developer’s end since Steam has also experienced the same concern.

Error:

Activation Failed         
Activation process has been terminated.         
The serial number was not found in the database. Most likely the serial number has been entered incorrectly.         
Press 'Back' to retry activating (please verify the correct input of the serial number) or click 'Exit' to abort.

Most likely, the problem here is that you entered the wrong serial number for activating the game. You should check the serial number again and enter it exactly as it appears. If upon opening the game there’s no option to enter the serial number again and it automatically goes to that screen that you posted, try clicking on the Activate manually button and then enter the serial number exactly as it appears.

If it still doesn’t work, you should contact the web site and ask for a new serial number again for your copy. They should give you the new serial combinations after a couple of days. But if you are activating the game using some generator tools or manipulated software, uninstall it and get the legit copy from a trusted site.
