The main computer that you want to share on is called the “Host” and you must enable Internet Connection Sharing on it.  To do that, follow the steps below:

  1. On the host computer, click “Start”>”Control Panel”.
  2. In the search box on top of the screen, type “Adapter” and under “Network and Sharing Center”, click on “View Network Connections”
  1. Right-click on the connection that is going to be shared, and click on “Properties”
  2. Click on the “Sharing” tab, and make sure there is a tick in the checkbox next to “Allow other Network Users to Connect Through this Computer’s Internet Connection”

On the other computer/s that need to connect to the internet, do the following:

  1. Click “Start”>”Control Panel”>”Network and Internet”>”Internet Options”
  2. Click on the “Connections” tab and make a check in the checkbox next to “Never dial a connection”
  3. Click on the LAN Settings tab and under the “Automatic configuration” untick the checkbox next to “Automatically Detect Setting” and “Use Automatic Configuration Script”
  4. Under the Proxy Server, clear the check next to “Use a Proxy Server for your LAN” checkbox
  5. Click OK
