Hi to all,
Why am I receiving this error when trying to open an old file?
It’s like about to become not responding.
Do I have to download some updates for my software?
It also usually appears when I try to copy some layers on the timeline.
After Effects error: strange situation [0/2].

” After Effects error: strange situation [0/2].”
How can I avoid it? Please help me in this case.

Adobe After Effects error: Strange Situation
Hi Jlian11,
Whenever you see that after effects error you have to try the following remedies:
First, you should have had disable the DLA service. How to turn it off?

Open your personal computer.

Click the disk drive you are going to install.
-
Don't select the DLA option.
-
To apply the changes choose ok.
-
then you have to restart your computer.
From the disk drive properties you can also disable the DLA service. How?
-
Turn On your PC.
-
Click the disk drive you are going to install.
-
Then you have to choose PROPERTIES.
-
Choose the DLA TAB
-
Don't choose the enable option n your drive.
-
To apply changes click ok.
-
Then you have to restart your computer.
Second, You can also try disabling START UP ITEMS and SERVICES. How?
-
Close all applications
-
Select START- Run. In the blank field type misconfig and then click ok.
-
Choose the Start up items that are important in solving the problems. Don't choose ITEMS IMPORTANT
-
Choose the service tab, and choose HIDE all Microsoft Services then choose disable.
-
Click ok and you have to restart your PC to apply all.
-
When your PC restarted already right click to quit all items or disable an items in the notification area.

Adobe After Effects error: Strange Situation
Hello,
If you work with large files, long movies and pre-render lots, "After Effects error: strange situation [0/2]" will occur. If you're pre-rending lots, it will save those renders to your project library. You need to clear these out of the list or else EA tries to handle them all at once, leading the memory errors and colossal stacks. If your file is stacking as soon as you try to open the project and you fear corruption, delete those pre-renders from your hard drive. It should then allow you load the project with a "missing files" error. Clear the prerenders from the library and you'll be good to go. I hope this will help you.

Try reinstalling the fonts that you are using in the projects and that should solve the problem.
You also need to double check the Graphics are RGB and not CMYK. Probably you will need to convert them to RGB if they are CMYK.
You can also try creating a new project and then import the old one into the new project. Then delete and re-import the C4D video.

Compare the files NOUI and UI, you will see that there are some missing lines in the .aepx configuration. It is all happening because the NOUI file is not doing its job correctly.
Add the below lines and you will see that you will not face any problem anymore.
