I purchased a brand new Toshiba A200 laptop. It has 4GB RAM, Dual Core Processor and running with Windows Vista 32-Bit OS. I downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS4 few months ago which I primarily used in my job as a designer. It was working fine until last night when I was painting an illustration; an error keeps popping up that is so annoying.
The error is: Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended could not complete your request because there is not enough memory (RAM). I am completely lost so I checked on my available RAM but it has lot of free spaces. And the memory preference of my Adobe Photoshop is set to 60%. I deleted all my plug-ins and everything that may be the possible cause of the error. But I have no luck. What can I do to resolve this? I need help as soon as possible since I am using this on my job. Thank you.

Adobe Photoshop CS4: Not Enough Memory
Try to check your disk space. Adobe Photoshop application uses disk space as scratch disk or as memory during the editing process. This process helps the Photoshop to manage images especially in lower amount of memory. If your disk is full, you may encounter such error. The best thing to do with this is to empty your temporary folder or remove some applications that are not necessary in your computer.
Sometimes viruses filled your hard disk drives with random files and that makes your hard disk drive out of space. Clean your computer for viruses and remove those files created by the virus.

Adobe Photoshop CS4: Not Enough Memory
Hello Peter Swank,
If you are receiving that kind of error, then your computer could be possibly be running on low memory. or if not so it could have been running on low memory at that particular instance that you got the error message, and that could be due to you having opened many applications some which were memory intensive and thus taking a up a lot of the system's memory space.
So I will advise that you just try restarting the computer, and then try using the adobe Photoshop CS4 application again and see if you will get the error this time.
Hope this helps.
