Hi,
I have installed Windows XP OS 64-bit and I have downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS6 both in 32 and 64 bit. When I attempt to run a 64 bit version I get the following configuration error message which says uninstall and reinstall the product. This time I uninstalled the product then reinstalled it again but the same error message appeared. What is wrong with this product? Can you provide the proper solution?
Bundle of thanks.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Configuration error
Hi,
I wonder why you have installed dual versions of Photoshop. Probably for testing purposes, I guess. Well, in most cases the following steps would resolve:
Goto C drive then program files/x86 and common files to reach Adobe folder. Now locate SLStore folder (if not present then make it). Run the Photoshop CS6 as administrator.
Can also try the following way:
-
Click computer go to View from organize and folder and search options.
-
From advanced settings, deselect use sharing wizard and OK.
-
Go to program files/x86 then common files to Adobe folder.
-
Right click Adobe PCD folder and get to properties.
-
Inside properties got to Attributes and deselect Read only and apply the changes.
-
Now in Security tab, administrators and system should be listed and permissions for security are set to full control. Run the PS.

If you try to install Adobe Photoshop CS6 but it doesn’t install, check the system requirements. Adobe Photoshop CS6 supports Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows 7 Service Pack 1. It may also run on Windows 8.x.
It requires Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent AMD Athlon 64 or faster processor, 1 GB RAM, 1 GB free space, 1024 x 768 minimum screen resolution, video card with 512 MB video RAM and supports OpenGL 2.0, and internet connection for product activation. If you use Windows XP, make sure you have Service Pack 3 installed.
Adobe Photoshop CS6 will not run on Windows XP Service Pack 2 or without a Service Pack. Download Windows XP Service Pack 3. This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows XP.
