Adobe Photoshop Error for coping selected area!

I have some problem in Adobe Photoshop whatever I want to copy selected area, but this quoted error has displayed “could not complete the copy command because the selected area is empty” please resolve my problem so I can copy the selected area another file.

Adobe Photoshop Error for coping selected area!

Hi there, 

I read a few pages and came to this answer. Most people agree that you cannot copy that area because that area on that layer could be empty. Because you know you have multiple layers, try switching between them and your problem should be solved. To make this easy, keep the layer pallet open all the time.

In order to make a successful copy, use Copy Merged (CTRL+SHIFT+C). Also, you may be trying to copy a very small workspace, that small that Photoshop cannot work with.
