Hello TechyV buddies!
I am having some problem in opening my files in PDF type.
I have some files attachments that were sent to me, and when I open them, an error message came out.
The error message is this:
“Adobe Reader could not open ‘filename. PDF because it is either not a supported type or because the file has been damage (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded)”.
Please help me solve this issue.
I would be very grateful if a solution will be provided to me.
Thank you.
Adobe Reader could not open “filename.pdf”
Hallo Caspian,
To resolve that issue you will need to try the following workarounds:
Solution 1
-
First you will need to manually download the files to your computer by right clicking on the url.
-
After the file has been downloaded to your computer, check to see if you get the same message you are getting when you open in the Reader using File and then Open Menu.
Solution 2
-
You will need to open the file using your most current version of Adobe Reader.
-
And then choose File, and then Export, and after that select PDF as the format and then choose a location to save it.
-
Choose the PDF export settings you want to use and then click OK.
Regards,
Cal
Adobe Reader could not open “filename.pdf”
Dear User,
The adobe reader can read PDF. So consider these before you proceed.
Is this email come from a reliable source? Be sure that you are not trying to open a virus.
Also try downloading the attachment in to your pc and opening it.
If this doesn’t work I would suggest you to open your PDF using this website
If none of these work, its simply the PDF is corrupted, ask to resend the mail.
Thank you
