Adobe Reader X cannot be used, installation source error

Hello buddies. While I was trying to use Adobe Reader X. I got an error like below:

"The installation of application "Package Name" from policy "Policy Name" failed. The error was the installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it."

My specifications are Server 2003 and GPO for my computer. Then I tried to solve the problem by looking into lots of sites. I got something from this site I thought could be fruitful.

I tried to make sure that the certified users or domain pcs and also system got the READ permissions for the UNC path. For test purposes, I tried anonymous log on. Still I am in a fix how to fix it and any kind of help will be appreciated.

Adobe Reader X cannot be used, installation source error

Hy,

You tried to install Adobe Reader X in your computer but you got error message for something wrong. You used online web installer file for install Adobe Reader X, when you pressed install button it show failed or something another error message to invalid host to download setup file for Adobe Reader X. You can skip this problem by use complete portable Adobe Reader X application. It will help your PC to keep fast and you can access it any time by run Adobe Reader X portable application.

 

I think your problem will be solving if you use Adobe Reader X portable version. You may get this software in internet.
