Can anyone tell me what are the advantages of going to cloud services and how postgresql database tool can be used in cloud based services ?

Advantages of using postgreSQL in cloud

 

With new Postgres plus database, it is easy to run a database in the cloud. Apart from that, there are many advantages of running database in clouds. Cost benefit is the main advantage of moving to Cloud computing concept. It removes the installation & maintenance cost of a server system which will lead for around 50% reduction in cost structure. Also, the cloud computing goes with the concept of Pay-as-you-go. The other benefit of is that the capability of adding more infrastructure capacity quickly whenever the customer need it for lower cost. When the company needs to change the business application to a new one, the cloud computing allows it and responds it very quickly. The cost for the change is not that high as the company doesn’t need to add more equipment on that new business application. Portability is another advantage cloud computing offers. It provides the freedom tomove data into any platform anywhere and utilize all the applications
