I had a virus on my machine recently; I had to clean my machine completely with an Anti-virus as well as Anti-spyware scan.
I performed the complete scan and checked there were no malicious activities on my machine.
Later that morning when I tried to reboot my machine, I get an error message that some .dll file is missing.
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate
This application has failed to start because sqlite3.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Am I still having any infection on my machine? What does this error message mean?
Can anyone help me understand better on what to do next?

After a Antivirus scan my PC is unable to shut down
Good day.
If by running your Antivius and spyware this has cleaned out your computer. The sqlite3.dll originate, from software you installed on your system. Because of the issue where you had on the machine, this might have infected your registry in the computer and since this is where most of data application is stored; the cleaning out may have whipped out the registry.
I strongly suggest that reinstallation of the software, be done in order for everything to be put back in order.

Many things can happen when you have a virus in your system because there are different kinds of viruses. Various viruses attack your system differently. My thought is that sqlite3.dll might have been corrupted by the recent virus that infected your system recently.
There might still be some viruses left in your system. I usually use Kaspersky Antivirus to scan my system. It scans my system thoroughly and it can detect a whole lot of viruses that other Antivirus software I’ve used before. But if the problem persists, then, there is always one thing left to do, reformat your system.
That is the only solution for that kind of situation. If you won’t reformat, it will gradually corrupt your system and it will also damage some of your hardware and also your files. You must always do some system maintenance on your system from time to time to avoid viruses.

That error is the damage caused by the infection. To fix the problem, uninstall and reinstall the program. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select the affected program among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds.
This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then install the program back. This should fix the problem. Do this also on other affected programs if multiple programs stopped working.
