After upgrade MS PowerPoint fonts corrupted

After an upgrade to my MAC, I am seeing corrupted fonts when I open up Powerpoint.  I have completed a virus scan because I thought that might be the culprit, but all came back clear.  I'm unsure what to do next, I cannot reproduce the issue, it just happens on occasion.  Any suggestions on what I might try next or what might be the cause?

After upgrade MS PowerPoint fonts corrupted

It seems that due to improper upgradation, the fonts are lost. Probable cause may be the upgradation was not properly completed. The easiest and sure shot way out is trying to uninstall the MS office and reinstall the same. Always try to avoid online upgradation for windows or any other process installed in your system.
