Hello,
Since I have updated my MAC I have this annoying message error. Every time I want to open an application this error keeps popping up. If I click Open from right click I can open any application, file, folder, etc. It started to be a real pain and I can’t take it anymore. Does anyone else have this error after an update ? How can it be solved ? Help please !
Thanks !
The application can’t be found.

Annoying error message after updating MAC OS
Hello,
This problem is surely annoying when no one can open any application double-clicking its icon. Its solution is very simple.
Remove all the links from the “Favorites” section of the sidebar in “Finder”. Then, put them back again.
Also, unmount server and then re-mount again. When mounting server with “Connect to Server” command in the “Finder”, you should use CIFS, not SMB. For example: cifs://server_name_or_ip_address
Then I’m sure that no error will pop up again.

There is a fix.
When you mount server with the Connect to Server command in the Finder's Go menu, use not smb, but cifs, as follows:
cifs://server_name_or_ip_address
Then everything gets back to normal.
Mavericks uses SMB2 by default and doesn't switch to SMB1 or AFP if server doesn't support SMB2.
