Hello!

I am using google chrome and there are lots of pop-ups that keeps on blocking my screen and I have to one by one close it. While closing it even clicking x-button, I am being routed to another page. This really annoying and frustrating. How to fix this? What are the steps that I can do to eliminate this problem permanently? I already have antivirus software why is it happening? Is it only on google chrome or also happening with firefox and internet explorer?

  1. Disable Popups from within Google Chrome Browser
  • Click on the Chrome Menu that is located in the top-right hand corner of your browser window
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Show Advanced Settings
  • Go to the Privacy option and click on Content Settings
  • Under the Pop-ups section, put a check in the checkbox next to Do Not Allow Any Site to Show pop-ups (recommended)
  1. Remove Adware and Malware with AdwareCleaner

Use AdwCleaner to scan your computer and all browsers for adware, malicious files, extensions and any registry keys that may have been infected with this virus.

  • Close all open programs and browsers.
  • Download AdwCleaner here
  • Once the program is downloaded, double-click on the program to open and run it (where you saved the downloaded program)
  • When AdwCleaner opens, click Scan to scan your computer and browsers for any adware and malicious files.

  • AdwCleaner will scan the Services folder, Folders, Files, Shortcuts, Registry, IE, Firefox and Google Chrome for any infected files.
  • Once the scan has complete, you can click on each of the tabs to see the adware that has been detected. To start cleaning the adware, click the Clean button.

  • You will get a message instructing you to save any open files or documents, as your computer will reboot.  Once everything has been saved, click the OK button to reboot your computer.
  • Once your computer has restarted, you will see a log file with all the adware that has been removed.  You can close this log file.
